Parlour spent a hilarious afternoon with the comedic and glamorous actress, Aimée Beaudoin, who was nominated for a Canadian Comedy Award this past summer for her work in the APTN sketch comedy show, CAUTION: May Contain Nuts. We fell in love with this custom-made, one-of-a-kind Betsey Johnson-inspired dress in prep for the shoot, created by Kelly Madden, and Aimée had to battle it out to purchase the zebra stripes (she wore it to the Canadian Comedy Awards & the Gemini's) from Black & Bold in Edmonton. Oh, and those amazing shoes are actually Betsey Johnson--and are also now members of Aimée's closet. Lucky girl.

Go behind-the-scenes at our photo shoot, where Aimée had us keeling over with laughter, and check out Aimée's personal "Lady Luck" article in the latest issue. OH! And if you're searching for your next big star, she's right in front of you...

These saucy photos are taken by Calvin Wallace. Hair by Pam Poch of Venus Hair Artisans. Makeup by Aspen Zettel. Video by Caroline Gault.

Parlour Magazine took to Mother Nature and discovered that fashion isn't always glamorous. With a quickly setting sun, millions of mosquitos, and a coyote threat (not actually... but maybe...), we dragged Edmonton-based fashion designer Bridget Smatlan of Fridget and her cute little bunny out to the Albertan woods for a photo shoot. It was tough work, let me tell you--which you can see by clicking play above!
